This course is a pre-course option for ACLS students and is strongly recommended for anyone taking ACLS for the first time.

To be successful in any ACLS course, students should be able to identify ECG rhythms and should know pharmacology specific to cardiopulmonary arrest and other cardiopulmonary emergencies before beginning the course. This class will cover adult ECG & Pharmacology and addresses a key knowledge gap in electrocardiogram (ECG) and pharmacology, and focuses on specific ECG recognition skills and drug treatment knowledge.

• Heart anatomy
• Basic electrophysiology
• Normal ECG measurements
• Basic arrhythmias
• Basic ACLS drugs and usage
• Drugs, doses and routes of administration during cardiovascular emergencies
• Integrating basic drug pharmacology into ACLS algorithms


 

 

 

 

Cancellation Policy

Advance notice of three (3) full working days must be given in order to receive a refund or to transfer once to another class. Refunds are subject to a $5.00 processing fee.

A $25 rescheduling fee may be applied if 3 day notice is not provided.

  • After class you will receive an email from eCards@heart.org  with information and a link to claim your ecard (check junk mail)
  • Click on the link, confirm your name and email, set-up a security question for future use and click to Agree to the Terms of use
  • Complete survey
  • Claim your card
  • If you miss, lose or delete the initial email, you can also claim your card directly at www.heart.org/mycards. You must log in using name and email exactly as you used them for class registration.
  • You may access your ecards anytime for future use at www.heart.org/mycards
