Notes: THIS CLASS IS HELD AT ELMHURST HOSPITAL. PLEASE NOTE THE EAST DOOR IS CLOSED DUE TO CONSTRUCTON. ENTER THE MAIN DOOR AND TURN RIGHT TO HEAD TO THE EAST ELEVATORS. TAKE EAST ELEVARTORS TO THE LL. EXIT ELEVATOR TO THE CARPETED HALLWAY AND FOLLOW HALLWAY AROUND TO THE LAST ROOM ON THE RIGHT THE WILLOW ROOM. PARKING IN THE GREEN OR BLUE PARKING IS CLOSEST TO THE MAIN ENTRANCE. EMPLOYEES OF ENDEAVOR MUST USE EMPLOYEE PARKING ON HARVARD STREET. IF YOU DO NOT PLAN TO ATTEND CALL 630-527-5878.

This American Heart Association course includes CPR, choking and use of the Automated External Defibrillator (AED) for infants, children and adults.

This course is designed for those who are NOT in the healthcare field and require a certification in CPR and AED to meet job, regulatory or other requirements. Upon successful completion of all course requirements, students receive a Heartsaver CPR/AED card valid for two years. 

If you are unsure which CPR certification you require, please check with your employer or contact us here in the Training Center.

This course is physically demanding. Please wear loose, comfortable clothing. You will be practicing skills that require working on your hands and knees, bending, standing and lifting. CPR is hard work in both practice on a manikin and doing CPR for a cardiac arrest victim.

Cancellation Policy

Advance notice of three (3) full working days must be given in order to receive a refund or to transfer once to another class. Refunds are subject to a $5.00 processing fee.

A $25 rescheduling fee may be applied if 3 day notice is not provided.

How to claim your eCard following your class:

  • After class you will receive an email from eCards@heart.org  with information and a link to claim your ecard (check junk mail)
  • Click on the link, confirm your name and email, set-up a security question for future use and click to Agree to the Terms of use
  • Complete survey
  • Claim your card
  • If you miss, lose or delete the initial email, you can also claim your card directly at www.heart.org/mycards. You must log in using name and email exactly as you used them for class registration.
  • You may access your ecards anytime for future use at www.heart.org/mycards
