This American Heart Association Basic First Aid course covers how to recognize and care for victims of sudden illness and injuries such as bleeding, shock, poisoning, choking, burns and heat/cold related illness. Skills are taught using the Practice-While-Watching technique and allows AHA instructors to observe, provide feedback and guide acquisition of skills. Upon successful completion of course requirements, students receive a Heartsaver First Aid card valid for two years.

Cancellation Policy

Advance notice of three (3) full working days must be given in order to receive a refund or to transfer once to another class. Refunds are subject to a $5.00 processing fee.

A $25 rescheduling fee may be applied if 3 day notice is not provided.

How to claim your eCard following your class:

  • After class you will receive an email from eCards@heart.org  with information and a link to claim your ecard (check junk mail)
  • Click on the link, confirm your name and email, set-up a security question for future use and click to Agree to the Terms of use
  • Complete survey
  • Claim your card
  • If you miss, lose or delete the initial email, you can also claim your card directly at www.heart.org/mycards. You must log in using name and email exactly as you used them for class registration.
  • You may access your ecards anytime for future use at www.heart.org/mycards
